How to Reset JBL Xtreme 2: A Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Turn off your speaker:

The first step is to power off your speaker using the power button if it is turned on. Remember, when a JBL Xtreme 2 is powered off, none of its buttons blink. All of the buttons appear dark. Also, hold on for around 30 seconds as it powers off completely.

  1. Press the Volume Up and Play Pause Buttons:

Now begins the next and the most important step. Locate the ‘Volume Up’ and ‘Play/Pause’ buttons on the top of your speaker. Press both of them simultaneously and hold for approximately 15 seconds, or until the JBL Xtreme turns off. This will let the speakers officially enter the factory reset process. As soon as you press the buttons, the “Power” and “Connect” buttons will blink for a second, letting you know that the process has advanced. 
Finally, you will see the speaker turning off. You can guess that as all the lights go off the speaker makes a “power off” sound. Voila!

Re-pair Your Devices

Now there is one thing worth noticing about a speaker that has restored to the default settings; it will be automatically set to Bluetooth mode without you turning it on. Moreover, any previous pairing will be lost. You will have to pair it all again from scratch.

1. Factory Resetting JBL Xtreme 2:
