- Turn off your Sony soundbar and remove the plug from the power source.
- Turn it on again after 30 seconds, and choose the menu from the remote control.
- Choose Reset from the Menu by navigating through the up and down arrows.
- Click on the” All Reset” option and press Enter to restore the Soundbar to its factory setting.

How to Reset Sony Soundbar without a remote
There are different models of a Sony Soundbar, and resetting may require specific steps for each model. However, I’m enlisting some standard methods to reset your soundbar. Here you go.
Method 1:
- Press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons simultaneously for five seconds.
- Wait for a beep or message on the display screen of your Soundbar.
- Once you see the message or hear the beep, you’ve successfully reset your soundbar to the factory settings.
This method is suitable for HT-CT290/HT-CT800/HT-G700/HT-S2000/HT-S200F/HT-S350/HT-X8500/HT-X9000F/HT-Z9F models.
Method 2:
- Press and hold the Power, Volume Up, and Input buttons on the soundbar simultaneously for about ten seconds.
- Wait for the display light to start blinking or for the audio indicator to flash.
- Once you see one of the two signs from step 2, it’s a sign that your soundbar is reset to factory settings.
This method is suitable for the HT-S100F model.
Method 3:
- Press and hold INPUT, VOL down and Power buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds.
- Disconnect the AC power cord, and then plug it back in.
This method is suitable for the HT-RT3 model.
